HQIR is now making available a comprehensive tool that we use to conduct the Periodic Performance Review for our clients. You may use this same tool to conduct Option I, as described below. It is being made available as a download, followed by a mailed CD. A sample of this tool follows this introduction, along with purchase options. JCAHO now requires mid-cycle (15-18 month) Periodic Performance Reviews (PPR’S). The full PPR requires organizations to assess their own compliance with all applicable standards using JCAHO’s automated tool and transmit these data to JCAHO electronically. You have two other options: 1. Self-assessed compliance with standards and development of Plan of Action (POA) and Measures of Success (MOS); 2. On-site survey by JCAHO with submission of Plan of Action (POA) and Measures of Success (MOS) for surveyor-identified areas of non-compliance. Most healthcare organizations are opting for Option 1. But self-assessment has its drawbacks in that staff tend not to be as objective as outside reviewers. They want the organization to “look good” for the CEO and Board. HQIR conducts objective-non-biased Periodic Performance Reviews and develops the Plan of Action (POA) and Measures of Success (MOS) for you. (At the time of the JCAHO survey, the organization will only share data on the MOS, not the PPR.) Let our professional team take the lead in your PPR, POA, and MOS. Rest assured that your survey outcome will position your organization for full accreditation status by JCAHO. Call now (1-800-950-4410) for a price quote, proposal, and to schedule HQIR to perform all aspects of the Periodic Performance Review.
